Why do you only offer solo walks?

Solo walks mean your dog receives 100% of my attention at all times. There are no other dogs to distract focus, compete for attention or create unnecessary stress. Each walk is calm, fun, safe and completely tailored to your dog's individual pace, personality and needs.

I have more than one dog, will you walk them together?

Yes. If they are from the same household I will walk up to three dogs. While my focus is on solo experiences, I'm happy to walk two or three of your dogs together if that's what works best for them.

Do you just walk dogs?

No. I can offer care to most species of domestic and exotic pet and have extensive experience with cats, dogs, small mammals, livestock, reptiles and aquatics. I can also offer specialist care to a range of species including the administration of medication where required.

Will you give my pet treats?

Only if you have permitted me to, and only high-quality training rewards. While many dog walkers buy low-cost, low-quality treats in bulk, I believe your pets deserve better. I only use healthy, grain free treats. My treat of choice is Bounce & Bella, they're small, delicious, wholesome and made with your dog's health in mind.

How does pricing work for multiple dogs?

I offer discounted rates for dogs from the same household. The price is a little higher than for one dog, but not double. This way, you get value while ensuring every dog still gets the premium care and attention they deserve.

What's included in an adventure walk?

Adventure walks are 2-4 hour outings in safe, stimulating environments such as beaches, woodlands, or countryside trails. They're designed to provide your dog with plenty of exercise, enrichment and fun, while you enjoy peace of mind knowing they're in experienced hands. For safety reasons these are only offered as solo walks.

What areas do you cover?

I operate within a 5 mile radius of Ryde Town centre at no additional cost. Services provided outside of the 5 mile radius (up to a 10 mile radius) will incur an additional charge of £5 per visit. Services provided outside of a 10 mile radius will incur an additional charge of £10 per visit.

What counts as 'Out of Hours'?

Public and Bank Holidays, Weekends and Out of Hours (before 0800 or after 1700 Mon-Fri) will incur an additional charge.

Why shouldn't I use a cheaper dog walker?

When it comes to your pets, you have a choice. You could book someone cheaper.

The professional pet care industry is unfortunately not a well regulated one. People can come into your home without security vetting, they can walk your dogs without insurance or experience, or they can pay for cheap online courses and label themselves as qualified. But providing true care, and knowing what to do in an emergency situation, particularly if an animal becomes injured or unwell takes real experience and maturity.

There are highly experienced and accredited dog walkers offering group walks at reduced rates, an excellently stimulating service that suits many, but not all, and that's why I offer an alternative for dogs that need their own space, pace, or a little more attention.

I provide a tailored, safe, and enriching experience for your pet. Every walk is about more than exercise, it's about companionship, consistency, and care.

I'm not the cheapest, and that's because I offer something more valuable: the confidence of knowing your best friend is in expert hands.

Did you really work with Lions & Tigers? And why did you stop?

It's a fair question, and one I get asked a lot when people find out I've made this choice. Working with big cats has been an incredible privilege and huge part of my life, but it's also a role that demands long hours, working weekends, holidays and even Christmas day. In captive animal care, the animals always come first, which comes with personal sacrifice and can often mean missing out on time with loved ones and other important life moments.

After years of dedicating my life to the care of rescued and abused animals I've made the difficult decision to step back and adjust the balance of my time, but in a way which still lets me care for animals. Caring for your pets gives me that opportunity. I can bring everything I've learned about animal behaviour, enrichment and welfare into a more personal, community focussed setting.

It's still deeply rewarding work, just in a way that's more sustainable, more connected to people, and allows me to enjoy life outside of work as well.
